The companies recorded as owner on the most New York City tax lots. Each one has a page: the buildings, the boroughs, and an estimate worked out from what is open against them.
Companies only. Public bodies — the city, the state, NYCHA, the transit and port authorities — are left out, because "what else does the Parks Department own" is not a landlord question. So is any owner recorded under a personal name rather than a company's: this is a product about buildings and the entities that hold them, not about people.
Ranked on lot count from the city's tax roll, which is why a landlord holding one large building sits below one holding twenty small ones. An owner not on this list still has a page — every building in the app links to its owner's.
